Questions we get asked

Will it get here by Father’s Day?

Gift vouchers arrive by email within minutes, any time. Chopping boards are in stock and will make it if you order by midnight Tuesday 2 September. Built-to-order knives take four to six weeks because we make each one after you order — buy one and we will email you a card to give him on the day.

Is the engraving really free?

Yes. Free engraving, free lifetime resharpening and a lifetime guarantee come with every knife we make. Add up to 30 characters when you add the item to your cart, or leave it blank.

What can you engrave?

A name, a date, initials, a boat name, a station — whatever means something. It goes onto the blade for knives and into the timber for boards. If you want something unusual, order it and reply to your confirmation email and we will sort it out.

What if he wants to choose himself?

Send the voucher. It never expires, it works on everything including built-to-order knives, and he still gets the engraving free when he redeems it.

Can I book the class as a surprise?

Absolutely — plenty of people do. Reserve the date, and we will email you the confirmation to print or forward. If the date does not end up suiting him, get in touch and we will move him to another one.
