HOW WE MAKE KNIVES

MADE BY HAND. MADE TO LAST.

We heat treat our blades in a laboratory environment to get the most out of each steel, and run cryo treatments on the steels that benefit from it. It's not the fastest way to do things, but it's the right way to get the best performance. All of our handles are handmade using unique materials like Deer Antler, Abalone Shell, Aussie hardwoods and more.

We are a passionate team of 4 knife makers working out of our Anna Bay workshop crafting small limited batches of knives each week. We all love fishing and hunting and are best mates.

Honestly, I still can't get my head around it. When we started Iron Gate out of a tiny shed, we just wanted to build knives we'd be proud to own ourselves. We never expected the messages, the photos of our knives, the reviews. Every single one means the world to us. Watching this thing grow to a whole community of people who back what we do has been the most humbling part of the whole journey. So from me and the team, thank you. Truly.
