HOW WE MAKE KNIVES
We heat treat our blades in a laboratory environment to get the most out of each steel, and run cryo treatments on the steels that benefit from it. It's not the fastest way to do things, but it's the right way to get the best performance. All of our handles are handmade using unique materials like Deer Antler, Abalone Shell, Aussie hardwoods and more.
We are a passionate team of 4 knife makers working out of our Anna Bay workshop crafting small limited batches of knives each week. We all love fishing and hunting and are best mates.

Honestly, I still can't get my head around it. When we started Iron Gate out of a tiny shed, we just wanted to build knives we'd be proud to own ourselves. We never expected the messages, the photos of our knives, the reviews. Every single one means the world to us. Watching this thing grow to a whole community of people who back what we do has been the most humbling part of the whole journey. So from me and the team, thank you. Truly. We wouldn't be here without you, and we don't take a second of it for granted.

Anna Bay is where the bush meets the ocean, and that balance defines how we work. Our knives are made by hand in a small coastal workshop, shaped slowly with patience and respect for the materials. Just honest tools built by those who hunt and fish. Our showroom isn't quite finished but were aiming to open it in August.

The whole process was simple and straightforward. The hardest part was choosing. The knife quality is so high and the blade shape is perfect for what i use it for.
It hasn't seen a lot of action so far but the quality of this knife is second to none. It is a great balanced knife and sits very comfortably in your hand.

What a great piece of kit. Tried it on one of my fillet knives first up, great result, razor sharp result and perfect fillets. It’s in my fishing bag for good. It’s small, light, and I’ll never get caught out with a blunt knife again.
Looked around online at other Aussie made but these handles and blade profiles are by far the best looking and practical have bought about 7 knives now and impressed with all of them

A nice large case to protect knives or anything else that hold your fancy
I fish a lot, and am always on the look out for gear that will last. This fillet knife will cetainly that. Balanced to hold, the right amount of flex, keeps a great edge, and easy to resharpen to a a razor finish. It looks fantastic too. Great product!
