Stockman — Red Mallee & African Blackwood

This is a small knife with proper backbone. The Stockman is a compact bushcraft-style blade built for control — carving, food prep, and the quiet jobs around camp where feel matters more than size. At 155mm overall with a 70mm cutting edge, it sits naturally in the hand and carries easily without ever getting in the way.

The blade is Böhler N690 stainless steel finished with a stonewash that suits real use and wears in over time. Tough, predictable, and built to be used without fuss.

The handle pairs Australian Red Mallee burl with African Blackwood — Red Mallee brings wild grain and warm gum-country colour, while African Blackwood is one of the densest, deepest hardwoods on earth. Together they give the knife serious depth and contrast you can feel in the hand. Each handle is shaped one at a time, no two the same.

Keeping Your Edge

A quick strop before each use keeps your blade at its best. For a full sharpen, use a whetstone at the factory angle or send it back to us for free resharpening under the Iron Gate Lifetime Guarantee.

General Care

Wipe the blade dry after use. Apply mineral oil or handle wax to the handle every few months. Store in the included Kydex sheath.
