Iron Gate Knives "Hunt of a Lifetime" Giveaway

1. Promoter

The Promoter is IGKC Pty Ltd (ABN 47 695 823 673), trading as Iron Gate Knives, 4236 Nelson Bay Road, Anna Bay NSW 2316. Contact: workshop@irongateknives.com.

2. Agreement

By entering, you agree to these terms.

3. Who can enter

The giveaway is open to Australian residents aged 18 or over. Employees and contractors of the Promoter, their immediate families, and the prize suppliers and their staff can't enter.

4. Promotion period

The giveaway opens at 12:00am AEDT on Saturday 31 October 2026 and closes at 11:59pm AEDT on Friday 4 December 2026. Entries received outside these times don't count.

5. How to enter

(a) Free entries, no purchase needed. Each person can get at most 3 free entries: 1 each for email, SMS and Instagram.

Email: 1 entry for signing up to the Iron Gate Knives email list with the giveaway form on irongateknives.com.
SMS: 1 entry for signing up to the Iron Gate Knives SMS list with that form.
Instagram: 1 entry for commenting on the official giveaway post on @irongateknives and tagging a mate. One Instagram entry per person, however many mates you tag. Your account must be public at the draw so we can see your entry.
People already on our lists can claim their email and SMS entries by filling in the giveaway form during the promotion period.

(b) Purchase entries. You get 1 entry for every $50 you spend in a single order on irongateknives.com during the promotion period.

The order amount is what you pay after discounts, not counting shipping.
It rounds down per order: a $149 order gets 2 entries.
Purchase entries are added automatically under the email address on the order.
Built to Order and pre-order purchases count when the order is placed.
Entries from orders that are cancelled or refunded before the draw are removed.
In-person, market and expo sales don't count.

6. Valid entries

Entries must be made by you, with your own real details. The Promoter can disqualify entries made with fake, duplicate or spam accounts, by automated means, or by tampering with the giveaway. The Promoter isn't responsible for entries that are lost, late or incomplete because of a technical fault.

7. Prizes

Three prizes are up for grabs. The total value is more than $25,000 (AUD, including GST).

First prize: the Hunt of a Lifetime, for the winner and one adult guest (18+) of the winner's choice:

Guided hunt. A fully guided, multi-day hunt for two people, rifle or bow, with an outfitter chosen by the Promoter, in April 2027. Approximate value: $10,000.
Spearfishing trip. A liveaboard spearfishing charter for two on the reef out of Cairns, Queensland, in winter 2027. It includes berths, meals and a dive guide. Approximate value: $15,000.
Iron Gate knives. Handmade knives valued at more than $1,000, including a Mako Fillet, an XL Hunter and a Mini Skinner.
Coffee. Dog & Gun Coffee, valued at more than $100.
Clothing. Calvert Supply workwear and apparel, valued at more than $200.

Second prize:

A YETI hard cooler, valued at more than $500.
Handmade Iron Gate saltwater knives, chosen by the Promoter.

Third prize:

A COBB Premier Air portable charcoal grill. Recommended retail price: approximately $350.
A handmade Iron Gate kitchen knife, chosen by the Promoter.

8. What isn't included in first prize

These are the winner's and guest's responsibility:

Flights and other travel to and from each trip's starting point
Travel insurance
Spending money
Personal gear and clothing beyond the prize items
Ammunition
Any licences or permits needed to take part
Anything not listed in clause 7

9. Trip conditions

Dates. Trip dates are set by the Promoter and the operators, and both trips must be taken by 30 September 2027. If the winner or guest can't attend on the dates offered, that part of the prize is forfeited. It can't be deferred, exchanged or taken as cash.
Operator rules. The winner and guest must meet each operator's requirements, including fitness, swimming ability, safety rules and any waivers.
Firearms licence. To use a firearm on the hunt, a person must hold a current firearms licence that is valid where the hunt takes place. Anyone without a licence can still join as a non-shooting participant.
Filming. The Iron Gate Knives crew will come on both trips and film them. The winner and guest agree to be filmed and photographed, and agree that the Promoter can use that footage and their first name, surname initial and home state in its marketing, without payment.

10. The draw

The draw is at 11:00am AEDT on Monday 7 December 2026, at 4236 Nelson Bay Road, Anna Bay NSW 2316.
All valid entries from all methods go into one pool, and winners are drawn at random in this order: first prize, then second, then third.
Each person can win only one prize. If someone is drawn a second time, that draw is ignored and another entry is drawn.

11. Notifying winners

Winners will be contacted within 2 business days of the draw. Those who entered by email, SMS or purchase are contacted by phone and email. Those who entered only through Instagram are contacted by direct message from the official @irongateknives account.
Iron Gate Knives will never ask a winner for payment, card details or passwords. Ignore any account that does.
Winners' names (first name, surname initial and home state) will be published on irongateknives.com and Iron Gate Knives' social media by Monday 14 December 2026.

12. Unclaimed prizes

If a winner can't be contacted or doesn't claim their prize within 14 days of being contacted, a new winner for that prize will be drawn at the same place at 11:00am AEDT on Tuesday 5 January 2027.

13. Prize changes

Prizes can't be transferred or exchanged for cash. If any part of a prize becomes unavailable for reasons outside the Promoter's control, the Promoter can replace it with a prize of equal or greater value.

14. Instagram

This giveaway is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram or Meta. By entering through Instagram, you release Instagram and Meta from any liability connected with the giveaway.

15. Liability

To the extent the law allows, the Promoter isn't liable for any loss, injury or damage from entering the giveaway or taking a prize, except where caused by the Promoter's negligence. This doesn't limit any rights you have under Australian Consumer Law.

16. Your details

We collect your details to run the giveaway and, if you sign up, to send you Iron Gate Knives marketing by email and SMS. You can unsubscribe at any time. Your details are handled under our Privacy Policy.
