Iron Gate started with Izac making knives for mates. Word got around, more people wanted one, and three years later there's a team of six in a brand-new workshop building Australian-made knives that go to hunters, fishos and home cooks all over the country.
We do things the hard way on purpose. Every blade is ground by hand on a 2×72. Every handle is cut from Australian timber or natural material. Every knife gets engraved for free, because once it has a name on it, it's an heirloom with a story of who held it before you.
Where it's going: more knives, more products, a knife given away every month, and putting real money back into the local hunting and fishing clubs that raised us. We're not building a factory. We're building something worth being part of.

Mask on, grinder screaming, dust everywhere. Then Friday rolls around and we're at the pub, or on the range out the back, or loading the ute to head bush. This is what it actually looks like.

We make knives for the bush and the boat, so we go and use them. Deer, fishing comps, in-field content trips. You're on the ute, not watching the reel.
Down tools, head to the pub, eat well, talk rubbish. Every week, on us. It's where half the good ideas come from.
There's a bow range on site. Lunch break, knock-off, or when a blade's cooling. Bring your bow or borrow one.
Six of us who all make knives, shoot the bow, fish and hunt. We look out for each other. If something's on at home, the crew covers you.
Skilled work gets paid like skilled work. Full-time in-house roles, and when the drop needs a push, overtime is paid, not "expected".
We've gone from a shed to a six-man workshop in three years and we're not slowing down. Junior to senior, maker to lead, there's a path here and we'll back you on it.
