A bowie profile with a recurve edge. The belly sweeps in before the tip, so the edge pulls into the cut on a draw and keeps biting through the long slicing strokes a bowie is built for.
The blade is Böhler N690 with a stonewashed finish, our workhorse steel. It holds a working edge through a full day in the field and sharpens up quick.
The handle runs buffalo horn at the front into stabilised Afzelia xylay, with a turquoise TruStone spacer set between brass. Black horn up front, the xylay figure behind it, and a hard band of blue and brass through the middle.
