Choose your blade
You pick one when you arrive. Each comes to you as a hardened blank, and the grinding, finishing and handling are the same work whichever you choose. Handle timber is yours to pick from the rack.

Good to know
The short version
◆Pay in full at checkout. That is what holds your seat. Nothing is reserved until payment goes through.
◆Fully refundable with 14 days’ notice. Tell us 14 or more days before your class and we refund every dollar. Inside 14 days we cannot refund, but you can hand your seat to someone else.
◆6 seats a class. Book up to 6 on one date. Bigger group? Contact us and we may be able to work something custom out for you.
◆Minimum age 14. Anyone under 18 must have a parent or guardian with them on the day, and the parent books and takes the finished knife home.
◆Everything is included. Steel, timber, pins, epoxy, sheath, lunch, a drink, and all the safety gear. Just bring closed shoes.

Before you book
Questions we get asked
Can I book for more than one person?
Yes. Pick the date, set how many are coming and add a name for each. Everyone on the booking is on the same date. If you need more than 6 seats, contact us about a private group day.
What if I need to cancel?
Give us 14 days’ notice and it is a full refund, no questions. Inside 14 days we cannot refund because the seat is almost impossible to resell that late, but you are welcome to send someone in your place. Just reply to your order email with their name.
Can I buy it as a gift?
Yes. Tick the gift box when you book and we will email you a card to print or forward, with the date on it. If the date does not suit them, reply to the email and we will move them.
Do I really take the knife home?
That is the whole point of the day, and it is how nearly every class ends. If someone takes their time on the bevels or the handle we would rather it be right than rushed, so we finish it in the workshop that week and post it to you at our cost.
Do I heat treat the blade on the day?
No. Your blank comes to you already hardened and tempered, done properly in the workshop beforehand. You do the profiling, the grinding, the finishing, the handle and the sharpening.
I have never done anything like this.
That is most people who book. 6 students and two makers means someone is beside you the whole way. The only thing you need is to turn up.
The Revcurve Bowie with a stone washed blade and, Afzelia Xylay and brass is visually a very nice knife, deep belly and pointed tip. It's made to be used and the edge is more than suitable. Don't be expecting a razor blade edge on a bush knife - it is simply unsuitable. Get one when they're available or go built to order or special order.
