Wipe it dry after use and give it a coat of wax before it goes away, and it will build a patina and last a lifetime.\n\u003c\/div\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe Tomahawk is a camp axe: a bearded head on a slim, shaped handle, made for kindling, clearing and the chopping jobs around camp that a knife should not be doing.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe head is 80CrV2 carbon steel with a textured finish across the flats. The edge sweeps down into a hooked beard, which leaves room to choke up behind the head for finer work. 80CrV2 is a tough carbon steel, well suited to chopping, and it sharpens up quick.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe handle is stabilised dark birch burl from head to butt, with a brass and white TruStone spacer stack through the middle and a brass-lined lanyard hole at the butt.
