Wipe it dry after use and give it a coat of wax before it goes away, and it will build a patina and last a lifetime.\n\u003c\/div\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe Tomahawk is a camp axe: a bearded head on a slim, shaped handle, made for kindling, clearing and the chopping jobs around camp that a knife should not be doing.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe head is 80CrV2 carbon steel with a textured finish across the flats. The edge sweeps down into a hooked beard, which leaves room to choke up behind the head for finer work. 80CrV2 is a tough carbon steel, well suited to chopping, and it sharpens up quick.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe handle runs stabilised Arizona ironwood under the head into green birch burl through the grip, with copper TruStone framed in copper between them, and finishes in natural deer antler with a lanyard hole through the butt.
