The 185mm edge gives you a full stroke on the board while the height keeps your knuckles clear.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe blade is 52100 carbon steel forge-welded between stainless cladding with nickel shims — San Mai construction, etched to show the layers. 52100 is a bearing steel: it takes a screaming edge and holds it, and the stainless outer layers keep the maintenance honest.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe handle is a Wa-style hidden tang: dyed, stabilised birch up front with a natural deer antler ferrule.
