Small enough to carry every day, sharp enough to handle skinning, caping and the fine cuts where a big blade only gets in the way.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe blade is stainless San Mai damascus over a VG10 core — a hard, fine-grained Japanese cutting core wrapped in layered stainless, etched to bring out the pattern. It holds a keen working edge and the stainless outer layers shrug off blood, salt and rain. No two patterns are ever the same.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe handle is full abalone (pāua) shell, the full length of the handle — blues, greens and purples moving as it turns in the light.
