Deep belly, real weight behind the edge, and enough spine to lever a joint without you thinking twice about it. This is the knife you reach for first when there is an animal on the ground — the belly is built for long sweeping cuts, so it opens and skins without you sawing at anything, and there's enough blade to break a carcass down properly.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe steel is Böhler N690, stonewashed. Our house steel and the one we put in more knives than anything else: holds an edge through a long day, doesn't mind blood and rain, and comes back sharp off a strop in a few passes.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe handle is layered camo G10 with a rock-face finish — a hard-wearing composite that shrugs off water and blood, textured so it locks into a wet hand. This is the working-handle Bear: no timber to look after, nothing to crack, just grip.
